Join Our Team as a Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Operator & Programmer – Precision Machining at Its Best!

We are looking for a highly skilled Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) Operator & Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Barberton. In this pivotal role, you will set up, program, and operate VTL machines to produce top-quality components that meet strict engineering standards. Compensation:

• Pay Range: $23 to $32 per hour

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating and programming VTL machines
• Proficiency with CNC programming languages (G-code, conversational, CAM software)
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges)
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Technical certification related to machining or CNC programming
• Experience with first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and process improvement

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred
• 2+ years of hands-on VTL operation and programming experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work scheduled shifts: 6:00am – 2:30pm or 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional half-days on Saturdays
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
