Packaging Associates Needed $18 an hour

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Packaging Associates for our client. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to work in a manufacturing environment with steady hours and competitive pay.

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced setting, physically lifting and moving materials while ensuring products are packed accurately and efficiently.

Hours:
Third Shift (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM), Monday-Thursday

Pay:
$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Repetitively lifting up to 75 pounds from metal basket carriers to the packing conveyor
• Gather all materials needed for framing bundles (tape, stretch wrap, cardboard, paper, banding, etc.)
• Visually inspect metal during bundling for defects such as burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, or die lines, ensuring all pieces meet or exceed customer specifications
• Assemble bundles per foreman’s instructions, using appropriate packing materials
• Assist or operate the cut-back saw station and act as saw helper at the press
• Lift metal from racks and return it after cutting
• Record daily piece counts or weigh counts
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping of the shipping area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Nice to Have Skills:

• Measuring tape experience

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
