Oxy / Fuel and Plasma Burn Table Operator
We are currently seeking candidates with oxy/fuel and plasma burn table operations experience for a hands-on Burn Table Operator position with a steel fabrication customer in Youngstown.
This position will be setting up, adjusting and operating the burn table to cut raw materials such as steel plates, structural, extrusions, etc. as assigned
This job also involves inspecting quality assurance processes, writing work instructions, and completing inspection documents for customers.

$17.00 – $21.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Work from verbal instructions, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bills of material, cutting lists, etc.
Sets up, adjusts, and operates multi-Torch, hand torch, and Oxygen-Acetylene flame cutting equipment
Uses drawings to determine how cuts should be made
May perform simple cleaning maintenance operations
Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision
Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly
Minimum Requirements:
Mechanically inclined
Reliable/Dependable
1-year experience operating a programable oxy/fuel burn table a plus
1-year experience operating a programable plasma burn table a plus
Experience reading blueprints a plus o Able to read a tape measure
Strong mathematical aptitude
Open minded and willing to learn company process
Willingness to work any shift
Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor
Burn 10, Edge Pro, or Messer Navigator burn table experience a plus
Physical Requirements
The ability to respond quickly to sounds
The ability to see and respond to dangerous situation
The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
The Ability to lift 70 lbs
