Machinist/Lathe Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Machinist/Lathe Operator for a contract role in Sebring, Ohio. If you have experience in precision machining and are comfortable working with blueprints, we want to hear from you!

 You will play a key role in setting up and operating CNC mills to produce high-quality parts according to customer specifications.

Hours:
1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 3:00PM

Pay:
$29.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up machines by reading customer drawings and maintaining tolerances within .001” (sometimes tighter)
• Process orders involving 1-4 pieces
• Modify G-Code programs as needed
• Set off-sets for precise machining
• Select appropriate tooling and inserts for each job
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-4 years of relevant machining experience
• Ability to read blueprints accurately
• Knowledge of machine-to-blueprint specifications
• Willing to work overtime when necessary

Nice to Have Skills:

• Manual machining experience
• Experience with lathe operations
• Strong attention to detail in precision machining

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant technical training or certification (preferred)

Other Requirements:

• On-site work location in Sebring, Ohio
• Ability to work safely with overhead cranes and forklifts
• Physical ability to handle machining equipment and materials
