Yard Laborer
Our client in Youngstown, OH who specializes in producing steel fabrications and counterweights is seeking a dependable and safety-minded individual for a position that will be lifting, stacking, and moving material and pallets throughout the designated area as assigned. Responsible for inventory management, shipping and receiving.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials, parts, and finished products
Transport raw materials such as steel plates and cut parts throughout the shop and yard
Assist with inventory management, ensuring accurate counts of incoming and outgoing materials
Load and unload trucks, verifying shipments against documentation
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety regulations
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately
Follow all safety protocols and maintain situational awareness around moving machinery and coworkers
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Ohio Driver’s License
Strong mathematical aptitude and hand-eye coordination
Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn company processes
Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervision
Forklift experience preferred
Experience in shipping, receiving, picking, or packing preferred
Willingness to work any shift as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Capable of climbing in and out of forklifts safely
Tolerance for working in varying temperatures
Ability to respond quickly to sounds and potential hazards
Proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
