CNC Grinding Operator

CNC Grinder Operator:
 

Our precision manufacturing client in Brunswick, OH is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their team. The facility specializes in several types of precision grinding and is recognized for maintaining exceptionally tight tolerances.

They are seeking candidates with experience operating CNC or manual grinding equipment, strong blueprint reading abilities, and the capability to work in a high accuracy environment. That said, they are also open to training motivated CNC operators who do not have prior grinding experience and are willing to teach programming skills to the right individual.

Shift: 

• 1st: 6am-2pm Mon-Fri
• 2nd: 2pm-10pm Mon-Fri 

After training candidates will switch to M-F 10 hour shifts. Candidates will work 50 hours each week 

Pay:

• $18-$25+ an hour based on experience 
• Experience with G Code will receive higher compensation then listed 

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding machines (ID, OD, centerless, surface, or form grinding depending on experience).
• Select proper wheels, dressers, speeds, feeds, and tooling based on material and tolerance requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
• Hold tight tolerances on dimensions, roundness, flatness, and surface finish.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, wheel dressing, and setup verification.
• Document production data and inspection results in accordance with internal quality standards (ISO/AS9100 environment).
• Work collaboratively with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience operating CNC or manual grinding equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of centerless, ID, OD, surface, or form grinding processes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to read, understand, and make basic edits to G code for CNC grinding operation preferred. but not required will train on G Code 
• Strong understanding of tight tolerances and precision measurement tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Experience in a quality driven manufacturing environment (ISO/AS9100 preferred).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
