CNC Grinding Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Grinding Operator for our client located in Brunswick, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in precision grinding and manufacturing to join a reputable company committed to quality and accuracy.

The company specializes in various types of precision grinding, maintaining strict tolerances in a high-accuracy environment. They are looking for candidates experienced with CNC or manual grinding equipment, strong blueprint reading skills, and a keen eye for detail. Motivated individuals with little to no grinding experience, but who are eager to learn programming, are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided.

Hours:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday – Friday
After training, shift will switch to Monday-Friday, 10-hour days, totaling 50 hours per week.

Pay:
$18.00 per hour, based on experience
Higher pay possible for candidates with G Code experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding machines (ID, OD, centerless, surface, or form grinding, depending on experience)
• Select proper wheels, dressers, speeds, feeds, and tooling based on material and tolerance requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools
• Maintain tight tolerances on dimensions, roundness, flatness, and surface finish
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Perform routine machine maintenance, wheel dressing, and setup verification
• Document production data and inspection results following quality standards (ISO/AS9100 environment)
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues and optimize processes
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience operating CNC or manual grinding equipment preferred
• Knowledge of centerless, ID, OD, surface, or form grinding preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic understanding of G code (training provided if needed)
• Strong attention to tight tolerances and precision measurement tools
• Mechanical aptitude and detail-oriented mindset
• Experience in a quality-focused manufacturing environment (ISO/AS9100 preferred)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with G Code programming
• Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 standards

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Past work in manufacturing or machining environment

• On-site work location in Brunswick, Ohio
