Located in Youngstown, OH, we are seeking a dependable, safety-minded Shipping Associate to join our team. If you have a strong work ethic and are committed to workplace safety, this is a great opportunity to grow with a reputable employer.

Our client specializes in producing steel fabrications and counterweights. As part of their team, you will play a key role in lifting, stacking, and moving materials and pallets throughout the facility. You'll also manage inventory, handle shipping and receiving, and support daily operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Join us and be part of a team dedicated to quality and safety.

Hours
First Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday (shift start/end times may vary).

Pay
$17.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate forklift safely
• Observe all safety rules and regulations, keep work area clean and organized
• Be aware of co-worker and crane traffic throughout the shop
• Move raw materials such as steel plates, cut parts, and other materials from outside areas
• Pick, pack, band parts, and prepare shipments
• Manage inventory inbound and outbound
• Follow all safety protocols and stay aware of surroundings during machinery operation

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Strong math skills and hand-eye coordination
• Reliable and willing to learn company processes
• Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors

Nice to Have Skills

• Forklift operation experience
• Shipping, receiving, picking, or packing experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with forklift and warehouse operations (preferred but not required)

Other Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor throughout shift
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Capable of climbing in and out of forklifts safely
• Tolerance for working in varying temperatures
• Respond quickly to sounds and potential hazards
• Proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
• Work is on-site, and flexibility to work any shift as needed
