Shipping Specialist
We are currently seeking candidates with strong shipping experience and initiative to take ownership of their work for an advanced coatings production company in Akron, Ohio.

This position is not forklift operation or material handling, it is predominately shipping duties, labeling and packaging using various shipping and inventory software, however will also help in other areas most days as well.

Pay:

• $20.00/hour, will raise to $22 after hire

Shift:

• 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify order accuracy and inspect products for damage
• Package and label various sized products for shipment, following DOT requirements
• Use computers to create shipping labels and documentation
• Operate shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS – will be trained if needed) to track shipments and update order statuses
• Some loading of trucks (duties split between several employees)
• Occasional use of a forklift to move/load products  

Minimum Requirements:

• Shipping experience required, must have clerical and physical shipping experience
• Must have experience using computers; experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping software preferred
• Experience using an RF scanner
• Forklift experience is preferred but not required
• Experience shipping hazardous materials is a plus
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
• Attention to detail is a must
