Machine Operator
We are currently seeking a candidate with an excellent heat tolerance and a desire to learn for a client in Medina, Ohio. Prior plastics experience is a plus, not a requirement!
Our client is a fifth-generation family company with a strong focus on honesty, integrity, and diligent craftsmanship of their products. They are one of the largest suppliers of their product to their target market in the United States today!
Three Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00am to 2:00pm, Monday – Friday
- 2nd Shift: 2:00am to 10:00pm, Monday – Friday
- 3rd shift: 10:00p.m. – 6:00am, Monday – Friday
Pay:
- 1st Shift: $15.00/hour
- 2nd Shift: $17.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: $18.50/hour
- Eligibility to receive a pay increase of $1+ an hour once training is complete
Key Responsibilities:
- Produces product using several processes including pouring, extruding, pressing and dipping
- Measures, records, and adjusts machines to maintain product consistency
- Records data into the production tracking system Minimizes downtime / scrap
- Makes recommendations on improving performance
- Performs pre-shift inspections
- Trouble-shoots machines / raw materials issues
- Performs machine / product changeovers including changing of dies, molds, wax blends, wick, blocks, fill heights, and cutting blades
- Works / communicates with other functional / support departments as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior machine experience
- High school diploma or GED Ability to read/ write / perform basic math
- Openness to new ideas / a desire to learn
- Good manual dexterity / coordination
- Can stand 8+ hours a day
- Must be able to tolerate hot conditions, especially in the summer
